Alex O’Loughlin Covers GQ Style Australia

Posted: 07 Mar 2011 08:03 PM PST

Yes! Alex O’Loughlin on a cover of a magazine. Now why hasn’t this happened before? I mean it probably has but I’m going to make a big deal out of this one. He’s on the cover of GQ Style the March 2011 edition that actually went on sale today. We all know that Alex is doing amazing on his new show, Hawaii 5-0. I couldn’t be prouder than I am of him now. I have been cheering him on. In the issue he talks about what went into his thought process in recreating his character on the show:

"It's really important that if you're an artist involved in recreating something as iconic as this, that you find some way to step away from that. First of all, there's a lot of fans of the old show and a lot of critics who are looking to get their teeth into us. And then there's also a lot of fans and friends of Jack Lord — who played the original Steve McGarrett — and I'm an Australian. So I can't think about any of that. All I can think about is doing my work, being true and honest within the character and trying to deliver on time."

I’m so happy to see him…
