Posted: 26 Jul 2011 11:45 PM PDT Dear Gossips, Now that I’m home, with a proper internet connection, I’ve been catching up on videos, trailers, clips I couldn’t stream while working from the bullsh-t hotel wireless. At this point, isn’t that a basic? Like hot water? Yes, I am a first world ingrate. |
When what makes sense doesn’t actually work Posted: 27 Jul 2011 06:59 AM PDT In a certain celebrity matchmaking universe, Ellen Page + Jesse Eisenberg would constitute a duh, oh yeah, totally slamdunk. Look at those quirky hipsters with their weird ticks, and the way they both speedtalk, and he hasn’t watched tv or a movie since 1988 and neither has she because they spend all their time collecting chairs with only 3 legs and reading Kant! They belong together! Except, as is often the case when two people totally belong together on paper, when you put them together it becomes kinda . |
Bad trailer but it offers a glimpse Posted: 27 Jul 2011 05:27 AM PDT When you woke up today, did you think I’d compliment Robert Pattinson OVER Colin Firth? I am about to. So, in our ongoing review of new trailers I may have missed over the last week or so due to sh-tty wireless at Comic-Con, this is the one they’ve released for Bel Ami due in theatres. |
Posted: 27 Jul 2011 04:46 AM PDT Written by Duana Oh boy. So the showrunner of The Walking Dead, Frank Darabont, has stepped down. All the usual caveats apply. Don’t know him, never worked with, etc. |
Posted: 27 Jul 2011 02:54 AM PDT More trailer analysis... I don’t actually know how a movie like New Year’s Eve keeps making itself. But now you know why Ashton Kutcher went back to television. Even he couldn’t stand this sh-t anymore. |
Posted: 27 Jul 2011 01:44 AM PDT On his part, anyway. For her... well... she doesn’t let go easily. Here’s another thing all gossips agree on, and what we discussed one night during dinner: this bitch is crazy. So Posted: 27 Jul 2011 12:51 AM PDT Remember when Halle Berry won her Oscar and then made a piece of sh-t called Catwoman? Well, Main Street isn’t Catwoman, not quite, but, um, as Laura wrote to me yesterday, “I think that Colin Firth made a big, big mistake. |
Three Weeks & a Friend’s Couch Posted: 27 Jul 2011 12:32 AM PDT Two separate riddles here... 1. It was instant attraction when they started rehearsals, despite the fact that he’s supposed to be happily married. On set flirtation, some touching in the trailer, soon became after work “prep time”, and heavy petting in the car, and before long it was a full blown affair. |
Posted: 27 Jul 2011 12:22 AM PDT The same day that George Clooney’s The Ides of March was confirmed for the Toronto International Film Festival, they also released the first poster. Thoughts? I’m all over it. Totally into it. |
Posted: 27 Jul 2011 12:09 AM PDT Sarah Jessica Parker is currently travelling through Asia for Artistry on Ice. So at first I thought Artistry on Ice, like, it couldn’t be figure skating, right? What could SJP possibly be doing on a figure skating tour? Probably jewellery, has to be jewellery. |
July 27, 2011 – Smutty Shout-Outs Posted: 26 Jul 2011 11:49 PM PDT Heidi! You’re heading to New York! Farewell and good luck with so much love from your best friend Helena who will miss you but is thrilled for you too. Please. It’s an excuse to go to NYC. And a couch to sleep on! Seppi and Suki will miss hanging with Ramon! For Sally from Ellen who requested for you some Jon Hamm, vintage Matt Dillon (circa 1980s), and Scott Speedman. |
