Johnny Depp Covers Vanity Fair Posted: 04 Oct 2011 08:41 PM PDT On working as much as he can right now: 'Basically, if they're going to pay me the stupid money right now, I'm going to take it. I have to. I mean, it's not for me. Do you know what I mean? At this point, it's for my kids. It's ridiculous, yeah, yeah. But ultimately is it for me? No. No. It's for the kids.' On making money during his early days in Hollywood by attending Scientology study groups for $3: 'I went to a bunch, man. It was so great, it was so fantastic.' On the lack of support for 2004′s The Libertine from Harvey Weinstein: 'Harvey killed a great film.' On photo shoots: 'You just feel like you're being raped somehow. Raped. The whole thing. It feels like a kind of weird… just weird, man. Whenever you have a photo shoot or something like that, it's like… you just feel dumb. It's just so stupid.' I think that the whole photo shoot part of the business has to be weird. I know it’s something I would never get used to. |
Kate Winslet Covers Harper’s Bazaar UK Posted: 04 Oct 2011 03:12 PM PDT Kate Winslet looks beautiful on the November 2011 issue of the UK version of Harper’s Bazaar magazine. Here’s the highlights from the magazine that hits newsstands on Thursday. On her marriage break up with director Sam Mendes: "One thing I will say about me and Sam is that it's fine, it's really fine. I'm not going to s—fling, there's no point in even going there. It is what it is… We're grown-ups at the end of the day, and however hard it's been for me, it's been equally hard for him. And we have a child together who we both love – and raising him together, jointly and without any conflict, is absolutely key. It's the only way to do it, and I've really learnt that with Mia." On modern families: "Those days of every child having a mummy and daddy who lived at home – Daddy went to work, and Mummy stayed at home and took care of everyone – those days have almost gone, and it's so much more unconventional now" On the future: "I feel that I'm just at the beginning of a new narrative, and it's incredibly exciting. It's complicated, I know, and uncertain – but it's where life happens, between the cracks. It can be a painful process, but I truly hope that never stops for me." |
