The Best Movie Mistakes Of 2011 Posted: 27 Dec 2011 03:54 PM PST I went to the movies a lot in 2011. I think it has been just one of those years. So of course, when my friends over at Movie Mistakes sent over the list of Best Movie Mistakes of 2011 I had to publish some of the list. So without further adieu the list. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2: One of Snape’s memories show Lilly telling baby Harry to be safe, be strong. That had to have occurred before Voldemort killed Lilly. Snape was not in the house until after Lilly was killed and Voldemort was gone. Only Lilly and Harry should have had that memory, but not Snape. Rio: In the scene where Blu and Jewel are first taken to the smugglers, Jewel tells Blu to play dead. From the camera angle in the cage, Blu is on the right and Jewel on the left. However, when the sheet is removed, they switched positions. X-Men: First Class: In First Class, Professor X is made handicapped in 1962 at the end of the movie. In the previous X-men movie, he was walking when he visited the girl (Jean) in the mid 70s with Magneto. The Mechanic: While Bishop and Steve McKenna are practicing with various firearms, a slow-motion shot in the film of Steve shooting a .50 caliber rifle shows that, while the sequence depicts him firing “live” rounds, the extracted shell casing is from a “Blank” cartridge (evidenced by the crimped forward portion of the brass casing). The Green Hornet: When Reid and Kato are fighting by the pool, the beach ball falls off the chair (beside the pool) when they land in the water, but is back up on the chair in a following shot. Source Code: This scene is repeated multiple times in the movie: usually when the main character enters the “source code” the scene begins by panning over a small pond showing a Canadian goose taking flight. However the sound editor makes the mistake of dubbing in a recording of a hen mallard duck. Captain America: The First Avenger: When a map of North America is shown on the wall, the map of Canada shows the territory of “Nunavut.” However, Nunavut only separated officially from the Northwest Territories on April 1, 1999. In 1941, Nunavut did not exist. (The same mistake occurs in X-Men: First Class). I Am Number Four: When John sees his photos on Sarah’s website, the lower row of photos shows him throwing a football. However, when Sarah took those photos earlier, she only took out her camera AFTER he threw the football, while John was already talking to Sam. No Strings Attached: When Aston Kutcher is getting the first text from Natalie Portman, you can see his iPhone is showing June 12 on the lock screen as current date. The text from Emma have also a date of “06/12/10″ next to it within Messages app. On iPhone, the texts received on the same day should only show time at which message arrived, and not a date. Limitless: When Eddie is hiding with the golf club, there is a blue chair which got knocked over during the murder. But a few minutes later when Eddie is peeking round the corner to check for intruders, the blue chair is magically standing upright again.
