This Just In..The Twilight Films Are ‘Evil’

Whether we all like it or not, Twilight has opened many doors for entertainment. It has brought vampires to the fore front mostly…and I know that I am thankful for that because now we have many other things we can enjoy because of it. (Ian Somerhalder mostly…)

Pat Robertson , a controversial televangelist , says that watching Twilight will lead to demonic possession. Okay, stop right there. Sparkly vampires that can’t go out in the sun, can lead to that? Get ready for the quotes, these are some good ones!

”Yes, I think those vampire movies are evil. There are no vampires. The whole thing is demonic. And it may give you some kind of a thrill…a spooky supernatural, but it will open the door into the occult. And you don’t want to open any doors because you don’t know what kind of a demon’s out there who says, ‘So you opened the door, you gave me permission.’”

I think that Twilight is a work of fiction. Along with, The Vampire Diaries and True Blood. It just seems to me that sometimes people take things too far. I mean he even said that Harry Potter was ‘seductive’. I am not sure how he got that from that series. Maybe I”m a bit behind in my reading and watching then.

It’s nice to think that there is a world where a 112 year old vampire could fall in love with a 17 year old and they could get married and so on and so on. Or where there is a really hot vampire with blue eyes that falls in love with all the wrong women and you wish that somehow you could live in Mystic Falls to help him. Or…I haven’t watched True Blood yet to be able to comment on that..but I hear it’s like Twilight for adults.

Fantasy…not the occult. Not at all. What is this reality? There could never be such things. Or could there..
