The Anti-Valentine’s Day Playlist

Posted: 14 Feb 2012 10:53 AM PST

Valentine’s Day to me is such a Catch-22. I look back and think that I have never had one that was memorable, one that I could say, wow…that was amazing. I think the day always leads to a loss of expectations. I think as girls we have certain expectations of what we want. If the male in our life doesn’t fulfill them we feel like we are let down. It’s not like the media and stores don’t feed into that expectation. So today, instead of celebrating such thing as love I have compiled a great list of songs that you can just hate with.

Here is my anti-Valentine’s Day playlist:

She Hates Me- Puddle Of Mudd

I Hate Everything About You- Three Days Grace

Skinny Love- Birdy

Heartless- The Fray

Gives You Hell- The All-American Rejects

Hello, Hello- Fabian Buch

I Don’t Care- Apocalyptica

Not Over You- Gavin DeGraw

What Comes Around Goes Around- Justin Timberlake

Someone I Used To Know- Goyte

Celebrities Love The Muppets Too

Posted: 13 Feb 2012 02:27 PM PST

Being a child of the 80′s..okay that’s not dating myself at all..I grew up watching the Muppets and Sesame Street. There was nothing better than watching Beaker and Cookie Monster! I’m not sure what it was about them because truth be told I’m scared of clowns, masks and anything in a costume. Halloween is a fun time for me, Comic Con’s are even better. But still, I could watch those shows and not worry, probably because they were on TV, and laugh and giggle like everyone else.

Empire asked some celebrities what their favorite muppet was. I think that there was way too many funny responses and I wanted to share them:

Ryan Reynolds: “Gonzo. I like a mentally unhinged creature with a fist up his ass. Call me crazy and throw me in jail, go ahead-that’s what I’m into.”

James Franco: “The Swedish Chef. Borgy, Borgy, Borgy.”

Tom Cruise: “Kermit. He has this incredible sweetness, a real purity of spirit. And what was that song, It Ain’t Easy Being Green? That was poetry, man! It was that sweetness of character with the poetry of that song..he cracks me up.”

Johnny Depp: “Animal. There’s a certain irreverence that I like.”

Tom Hanks: “Gotta be Animal. It’s always the drummer, man.”

Daniel Craig: “Animal. I based my character in Cowboys & Aliens after him.”

Jason Bateman:  ”The guys on the balcony. They’re shit-talkers and they seem like they want to be anywhere but there. I’ve always been into that kind of comedy.”

Bradley Cooper:  ”That guy with the weird head. Beaker. Those segments in the lab used to give me a strange feeling, actually. The length of his face, his nose, his mouth — he scared me”

Orlando Bloom:  ”Miss Piggy. I just love that voice she has. (Deep sigh) It’s probably the best Muppet voice there is, to be honest.”

I love Ryan Reynolds the best. Only Ryan could make something out if it like that.

Tony Lucca Back Again!

Posted: 13 Feb 2012 12:45 PM PST

I have been dying to write about Tony Lucca since I found out he was on this season’s, The Voice, but I could never find a clip that was available in Canada. But never fear! I have finally found one. So without further ado, my post on Tony.

I have adored Tony since he was on MMC, you can even dig back into the archives of this site and find that I have written about him before. I finally found out that he was at clubs and going on tour a couple of years ago and have been following him ever since. I mean, not in the stalker way, but hoping that someday he could be found and share his music with everyone.

Tony’s, Death Of Me, has been out for a long time and it’s my favorite song of his. He sings a bit of it in the clip below from the Today show this morning. But there’s something about a guitar player. I just can’t resist. I am so excited that I get to see so much of Tony around again. GO TONY GO! I’m routing for you!
