The Official Poster For ‘The Possession’ Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan Posted: 05 May 2012 01:07 AM PDT The official poster for the movie, The Possession, has been released. First, let me say that it stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I have missed him since the Supernatural days when he was Dean and Sam’s dad. Now, I can watch him in this movie. The movie is based on a haunted box purchased on Ebay that brings bad fortune to its possessors (2004 LA Times articles). It was eventually passed from one person to the next and causing all sorts of torment. The real-life box gained notoriety in 2004 when it sold on eBay after causing inexplicable bad fortune to its owners which were attributed to a dibbuk – a malevolent spirit of Jewish folklore trapped in the haunted box. You can go see the site that they have that followed the misfortunes of the box. They synopsis goes like this: Based on a true story, THE POSSESSION is the terrifying story of how one family must unite in order to survive the wrath of an unspeakable evil. Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick) see little cause for alarm when their youngest daughter Em becomes oddly obsessed with an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. But as Em's behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the couple fears the presence of a malevolent force in their midst, only to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host. |
Another Trailer For ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Starring Christian Bale Posted: 04 May 2012 07:00 PM PDT Is it just me or is July taking forever to get here? I know that I was shown this third trailer last night and I had to post it. We get a bigger look at a lot of the characters, mostly Bane (Tom Hardy). Also, Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) has been getting a lot of rave reviews. I guess it’s okay, the guys want to see someone is something tight since we have been able to watch Batman in his ‘uniform’ since the dawn of time. The synopsis goes like this: Warner Bros. Pictures' and Legendary Pictures' "The Dark Knight Rises" is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar(R) winner Christian Bale ("The Fighter") again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar(R) winner Marion Cotillard ("La Vie en Rose"), as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar(R) winner Michael Caine ("The Cider House Rules") plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar(R) winner Morgan Freeman ("Million Dollar Baby") reprises the role of Lucius Fox. July is soon. I promise. |
New Trailer For ‘End Of Watch’ Starring Jake Gyllenhaal Released Posted: 04 May 2012 05:42 PM PDT The synopsis goes like this: End Of Watch stars Academy Award® nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña as young Los Angeles police officers Taylor and Zavala as they patrol the city’s meanest streets of south central Los Angeles. Giving the story a gripping, first-person immediacy, the action unfolds through footage from the handheld HD cameras of the police officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, and citizens caught in the line of fire to create a riveting portrait of the city’s most dangerous corners, the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay. The movie hits theaters on September 28, 2012 and in the meantime catch them on their Facebook or Twitter. |
